Description

As Gerald Durrell himself discovered all those years ago aboard the charmingly named Bootle Bumtrinket, there’s nothing quite like exploring the eastern coast of Corfu by boat. On the lovely pontoon boat, you can head North and visit Kouloura, where Gerald wrote “My Family and Other Animals” while living at a cypress-enclosed cove on the northeast coast, or Kalami, where poet and novelist Lawrence Durrell lived for 18 months with his wife. You can also get a glimpse of the main filming location of the much-cherished tv program “The Durrells” on the beach of Sotiriotisa, along with many other beautiful locations portrayed in Gerald Durrell’s book, as well as the show.

This 3-hour cruise gives you a true insight into the lives of the family that is so deeply connected with Corfu Island, whilst experiencing its beautiful scenery from the crystal clear waters.
