Put your trust in us and embark on a magical cruise further away and off the beaten track than most, exploring the treasure of the northern coast of Corfu.
As we start our day leaving Gouvia marina in the morning sunshine, we start by cruising along the beautiful North East coast of Corfu. Cruising along, we pass bay after bay, such as Barbati, Nissaki, the crystal clear waters that surround st. Arsenios chapel, and there are many exclusive spots to stop for the first swim and snorkel of the day.
Making our way up the coastline we pass by the stunning Agni bay, a lovely spot for a late brunch or lunch on the way back down. As we approach the northeast of the bays and clear waters continue to mesmerize us, a perfect backdrop for some fruit, coffee and refreshments as we gently cruise along.
Further up and round the top of the island is the Canal D’Amour, one of Corfu’s most stunning natural wonders. Here the wind and waves have carved a naturally sculpted bay into the sandstone, making it one of the most impressive swimming spots on the island. Lying between the villages of Sidari and Peroulades, it is about 22 miles from Gouvia on the North coast of Corfu.
Heading now further West and then slightly to the South we find the bays of Afionas and the famous Porto Timoni, accessible only by boat. Porto Timoni is a “double” beach, on either side of a narrow strip of land joining the peninsula to the island. This is definitely a must for a swimming spot, as the waters are the brightest of turquoise, and just the right amount of paradise to enjoy a midday swim and relaxation time on the boat. A wander around with a Stand up paddle board, or underwater exploration with a seabob makes the hour all the more fascinating.
Continuing around the steep cliffs of the Western Coast we arrive in Paleokastritsa, one of the most famous and popular tourist attractions of the island, with its marvelous bays and beaches, picturesque monastery perched on the rocks and blue water caves below. Here there are many choices for lunch, some of the best right on the beach and near the caves which you can ask your captain to visit.
As the afternoon heat starts to calm, we make our way back around the northwest curve around to the east once again. As we descend around the northeastern corner, a magical spot for one last swim could be Erimitis bay, where again the scenery will amaze you, and will make your glass of wine all the more worth it. With the sun slowly setting a golden colour around us, we seamlessly cruise back down entering the marina with a feeling of contentment of the day.
Our crew will of course assist in guiding you the spots that most meet your wishes, whatever they may be.
